Managing drivers

Drivers are your workforce. You absolutely need them to drive your cars. You should know two important things about your drivers: they get tired, and they get better at their job over time.

Driver energy

Your drivers get tired from driving. A driver’s energy skill determines how long he can drive before becoming tired and needing a rest. This starts off at 4 hours for freshly hired drivers. After driving for longer than his energy allows, a driver becomes tired and leaves the car.

To give drivers rest, you need to give them leave (remove them from the car). Once out of the car, driver’s energy slowly replenishes at a rate of 20 minutes for each hour spent out of the car. For premium players this is increased to 42 minutes for each hour.

To speed this up, you may put drivers into a rest stop. When in a rest stop, driver’s energy replenishes at a rate of one hour for every hour. For premium players this is increased to one and a half hours for every hour.

Rest stops are facilities not provided by the game itself. Instead, you need to build some for yourself, or contract them from other players. Once you have access to at least one rest stop, a Put in a rest stop button will become available on the driver’s page.

Please note that it takes some time for the driver to get to the rest stop. This depends on the distance from the driver’s current location to the rest stop’s location.

Controls related to driver energy are available on the driver's page.

Driver skills

Each driver has a number of skills. Those are displayed on the driver page, under the, surprisingly, Skills heading:

 • Charisma: earns more tips. Each charisma point adds 4% to tips. Also reduces taxi rank waiting time by 1.5% per point.
 • Driving: affects how fast she can drive. Each driving point reduces turn times by about . Also increases average speed by 3%.
 • Energy: for each energy point the driver can go an extra 24 minutes without rest.
 • Navigation: increase maximum distance between waypoints by between 0.12 and 0.93 miles per hour per point. More points result in larger increase. See more here.
Driver's current skill set is shown on the driver page.

Training

You can train any of the skills mentioned above by using the driver’s training points.

Drivers acquire training points simply by driving cars. The rate at which this happens depends on the sum of the driver’s skill points and any unspent training points they already have:

 • When under 25, drivers get 0.6 training points per hour spent driving
 • When under 70, this goes down to 0.3 TPs per hour
 • And over 70, it’s just 0.1 TP per hour

To speed up the rate at which training points are acquired, you can assign training packs to a driver. Each pack that a driver has (up to a maximum of 4) adds an extra 0.6 training points per hour. For example, a driver with a lot of skills will earn just 0.1 TP per hour. However, if given 3 training packs, this will go up to 1.3 TPs per hour.

You can get training packs in 3 ways:

 • By clicking Purchase training packs on a driver page, and paying 3 BureauPoints per pack.
 • Winning 2 training packs item on the marketplace, or
 • Purchasing a 2 training packs item for 5 BureauPoints and applying it to a driver (Use training packs item button).

Training packs can be moved between drivers freely, or converted into Training Packs item from the driver's page.

In addition, you can buy training points in the form of a 35 Training points item (marketplace, or 6 BureauPoints). Those can be applied to any driver by clicking the Use training packs item on a driver’s page.

Once a driver has at least one training point, Train button will become available on their page. Clicking it will show you the training interface, where you can assign points to any skills.

You can train drivers from their page. Drivers training can be sped up by assigning training packs to the driver. Training items can be purchased and managed by clicking the Inventory button on your company page.

Assigning drivers to cars

To assign a driver to a car, simply go to a page for an empty car, and click the Assign driver button. It will take some time for the driver to get to the car (this is more or less random, and around 30 minutes on average). Drivers assigned by premium users reach their cars instantly.

Drivers can be instructed to enter a car on an empty car's page.

Limits on workforce size

Companies are allowed a maximum of two drivers for each vehicle, plus one. A company with 3 vehicles is allowed 3*2+1=7 drivers. Extra drivers can be hired on payment of 3 BureauPoints.

Limits are not applied to drivers purchased on the auction.

Getting rid of drivers

You can delete drivers by clicking the Retire button on the driver’s page. This completely removes the driver from the game. Alternatively, you can simply sell your driver on the marketplace.

Drivers can be removed from the company by clicking the Retire button on the driver's page.

Buying and selling drivers on the marketplace

Drivers can be traded on the Marketplace just as any other game resource. When sold through a marketplace, all driver's attributes (skills, training points, training packs, etc.) are also transferred. Well-trained drivers usually fetch quite a premium.

Once a driver isn't in a car, she can be sold by clicking the Sell button on her page. Usual marketplace rules apply.
